Frequently asked questions
What exactly does Audely play?
Your podcast downloads, audiobooks, archived shows, and other long-form audio. Choose local or iCloud Drive folders and Audely builds your library.
Does Audely move or change my files?
No. Audely reads files in place and stores library changes separately. Removing something from Audely does not delete the original audio.
How does sync work?
Audely syncs library information, listening progress, favourites, and transcripts through your private iCloud account. Your audio files are never sent to Audely. If you choose an iCloud Drive folder, Apple manages that folder separately.
Are transcripts generated on the device?
Yes. With Audely Pro, transcripts are generated locally on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your audio files are never sent to Audely.
What does Audely Pro add?
Pro adds full transcripts and search, on-device generation, sync, cloud backups, and all Audely themes. The free version remains a complete player with an unlimited local library.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
You keep Pro until the end of your billing period. Your library, transcripts, source audio, downloaded model, synced data, and backups remain. Pro-only access pauses, and your selected themes reset to Audely’s defaults if Pro lapses.
